Per Jaldung Takes Charge at Casinos Austria International

Per Jaldung has stepped into a new leadership role at Casinos Austria International while maintaining his position at Grand Casino Brussels Viage. This marks a strategic realignment amid evolving leadership across the region’s casino industry.

A Fresh Chapter Unfolds

Jaldung’s appointment as managing director at Casinos Austria International comes as a natural evolution from his current role as CEO of Grand Casino Brussels Viage, an iconic venue in Belgium’s capital owned by Casinos Austria International. His career journey includes 14 years at the helm of Sweden’s Casino Cosmopol, a tenure that ended in late 2022 after more than two decades with the company.

Before leading in the casino business, Jaldung served in law enforcement within Sweden’s National Criminal Investigation Department, bringing discipline and perspective that shaped a results‑focused management style.

A Leadership Connecting Legacy and Vision

Jaldung’s newest title expands his influence across the group’s far‑flung operations. Casinos Austria International manages a network that includes Grand Casino Brussels, Grand Casino Belgrade, Canberra locations, Luzern, and others. His dual role reinforces continuity at Viage while enhancing oversight within the parent group.

Known for his decades in operational roles and board leadership including serving as chairman and now honorary president of the European Casino Association. The move positions Jaldung at the crossroads of strategic direction and operational leadership.

Behind him, Erwin van Lambaart now leads the European Casino Association. He brings executive experience from steering Casinos Austria AG and Österreichische Lotterien since early 2022.

Why This Move Matters

Jaldung’s expanded responsibilities signal a desire to strengthen alignment between Casinos Austria’s flagship brand and its international operations. His appointment also underscores a pattern of leveraging experienced industry leaders to navigate shifting regulatory and market landscapes across Europe.
