Kenya Welcomes BC.GAME with Twin Licences Now in Place

BC. GAME has officially secured its entry into Kenya after its African arm, Blockdance Africa Limited, received both a Public Gaming Licence and a Bookmakers Off the Course Licence from the Betting Control and Licensing Board. The approvals mean BC. GAME can now provide a full suite of regulated gaming services in the country, marking a major step in its expansion strategy across Africa.

Real Commitment, Not Mere Compliance

Kenya has rapidly established itself as one of Africa’s most dynamic gaming markets. With a young population, increasing smartphone use, and a strong appetite for digital entertainment, the country has become a focal point for global operators. At the same time, the Betting Control and Licensing Board has tightened requirements, demanding stricter advertising rules, higher compliance fees, and stronger financial safeguards.

Earning both licences under such a regulatory environment highlights BC.GAME’s determination to move beyond surface-level compliance. The company has stressed its commitment to being a responsible operator that contributes to Kenya’s growing digital gaming culture. Plans extend beyond offering gambling services, with a clear intent to partner with local sport, technology, and community initiatives to build long-term credibility in the region.

A Clear Strategy in a Complex Industry

The decision to enter Kenya is part of a broader global repositioning. Over the past year BC.GAME has shifted focus from offshore jurisdictions toward regulated markets where transparency and oversight are stronger. The company ended its Curaçao operations last year and has since concentrated on markets that offer long-term stability.

Kenya represents a crucial part of this strategy. The licences are valid through 2026, providing BC.GAME with a window to build its brand while working closely with regulators, local partners, and players. By entering one of Africa’s most competitive markets with dual licences, the operator is signaling that it wants to be viewed not simply as another international entrant, but as a company willing to invest in compliance, community, and responsible growth.

The development underlines Kenya’s status as a proving ground for global operators. For BC.GAME, it marks not only a business expansion but also a statement of intent that regulated markets are the way forward.
