The global gambling industry gathered in Lisbon on September 18 for the SBC Awards 2025, where 37 winners were honored in front of more than 1,200 attendees at the MEO Arena. Hosted by former Dutch goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar, the ceremony marked the grand finale of the three-day SBC Summit.
Major Operator Wins
Kaizen Gaming retained its Operator of the Year Large title while also taking Sportsbook Operator of the Year. Vegas Legends secured Operator of the Year Medium, and 8888.bg was recognized as Operator of the Year Small. Betsson Group walked away with Casino Operator of the Year, while 1xBet won Marketing Campaign of the Year. Rising Star awards went to BetMGM Europe for Casino and Boomerang for Sports Betting.
Innovation, Payments, and Suppliers
Novibet was applauded for Innovation in Casino and Gaming Entertainment. Nuvei took Payment Solution of the Year, Payhound earned Payment Innovation, and GeoComply was awarded Fraud and Compliance Solution of the Year. SOFTSWISS held onto its Employer of the Year title, while Natalia Nogues of Control F5 and Vigen Badalyan of BetConstruct shared Leader of the Year.
EveryMatrix won Multi Channel Supplier and Socially Responsible Initiative, with BetConstruct named White Label Supplier of the Year. Sportradar picked up two titles for Sports Data and Land Based Betting Products. Optimove also secured double recognition for Marketing and Services Provider and Acquisition and Retention Partner of the Year.
Spotlight on Casino Developers
Pragmatic Play, BGaming, and Kendoo were each named best slots developers in their respective categories. Other winners included Alea as Aggregator of the Year, Playtech as Live Casino Supplier, Spribe with Crash Game of the Year, and Wazdan for Mobile Innovation.
The awards capped the SBC Summit, which drew nearly 30,000 professionals to the Feira Internacional de Lisboa.
